Childcare

Childcare this year will be provided by Bizzieland mobile crèches. The cost remains the same at £20 per child, which once again is being significantly subsidised by the CGF.

The childcare facility will be open between 9am and 5pm and is closed for lunch. Children will have lunch with their parents.

Childcare places are limited so if you require a place you are advised to book early. Last booking date for the crèche is 30th September 2010 to allow for administration and preparation.

For further information about Bizzieland, please go to www.bizzieland.co.uk, or telephone Eileen Blezard on 01788 220623 or 07859 063215. Places must be booked through the CGF.

Membership

Entrance to the convention is open to members only. Please ensure that your membership is up to date particularly if your membership is due in October.

Membership of the Foundation covers the child with the growth condition, both parents and any siblings. If you are an adult, membership covers your parents or partner and children. If you are a parent of an adult, then membership only covers the parents and adult with the growth condition. The annual convention is greatly subsidised by the Child Growth Foundation. Membership of the Foundation gives you free attendance and the only cost to you is £10 per person (£5 per child), which is for lunch and refreshments throughout the day. If you wish any additional family members to attend, this is not a problem; the cost for them will also be £10 per person with an additional cost per family of £15, which includes one year's membership of the CGF

Xmas Cards/Greeting Cards

Christmas cards sold in aid of the Child Growth Foundation will be on sale throughout the day. There will also be a selection of hand crafted greetings cards. All proceeds go to the CGF.

The raffle last year proved to be extremely popular. Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the day and will be drawn during the evening. We are also hoping to organize a tombola again this year. This was also very popular, particularly with the children. These activities were very successful last year and raised around £1000. This helped towards to the cost of the convention. We had some fantastic prizes, so we hope to do the same again this year. We can only run these activities with your support, so please help us by donating prizes. We are always extremely grateful for any donations so if you can help please contact Jenny. Alternatively, just bring them along on the day.

Afternoon Social Activities

The Animal Lady has been a big hit with the children (and adults) for the last three years, so she will be joining us again this year. Children will once again be able to meet and learn all about a variety of exotic animals.

Youth Meeting

We are hoping to hold this group again this year, but as we go to print we are unable to confirm. If your 11-17 year old son/daughter is interested, please contact Jenny and she will update you on the situation.

Saturday Evening

A family disco is arranged for Saturday evening. The cost of the evening will be £10 per adult and £5 per child and this will include a buffet. Within the disco area there will be quieter places for conversation.

Sunday Morning

The RSS/IUGR group will be running an informal networking session, times and venue will be confirmed on 23rd October. If any other groups would also like this, contact your group coordinator and the necessary arrangements can be put into place if there is enough support.
